New work.. This was a great shoot, such a creative team and the designers collection was really unique incorporating in origami that opened up as the body moves. Full Chinese team, and despite the language barrier.. I think the results are pretty cool. She's one to watch, Really amazing stuff.. With love x

A mornings thought..

So I'm sitting having my morning coffee in this little coffee shop on Warwick Avenue waiting to start my shoot and pondering on things.. I wonder.. Does anything good in life come for free? Without a catch or a price-tag, a clause or a consequence? The way life is panning out right now I certainly question this. I do wish it were more simplistic, life I mean. Is that such a big ask? Sometimes I wish I lived a different life to this, a simple one where yes meant yes and no meant no.. But there are so many maybe's and perhaps's in the story I was given that a world that black and white just isn't attainable. Just a thought anyway.. Oh it's turning out to be a rather philosophical morning. With love x

#local4lent and #Zapmenow Event

Image
Last Saturday I had the pleasure of being involved in co-organising an exciting event at the Corn Exchange, Leeds. The event was a way of bringing together all the local businesses involved and supporting the local4lent campaign I started on Twitter and was brought to life by Charlotte Faringdon's excellent PR skills and was in combination with a Prize Giving for a design competition for the PR company she works for -  http://www.zapmenow.co.uk/ Here is an artical written in the Yorkshire evening Post prior to the event.. Charlotte did an amazing job of pulling the event together in less than 2 weeks and it really was such a success, and I'm not just saying that because of my involvement.. It was a lovely day for both the stallholders and the public, with such a great community spirit atmosphere.. you couldn't help but feel happy to be there! From cheese mongers to handmade children's clothes, Charlotte got the balance of different stallholders just right with a g...

#Local4Lent

Okay, okay.. I know its been a lifetime since my last post, and I wont waste half a post explaining why I have been a rubbish blogger or promise to be more consistent.. But instead I will just get on with it :) Sooo, for lent this year I decided to do something a little different.. and no, I'm not religious if you were wondering, its just that every lent whilst everyone is declaring to give up chocolate and cheese; I always have that guilty nagging feeling that I should be too. But as I already have very few vices, it would be hard to give something stereotypical like that up... so I had a little think outside the box. I wanted to do something worthwhile to more than just my waistline, and so I came up with local for lent; an idea to give up supermarket shopping and promise to shop locally for lent, supporting local businesses and our local community. Being a religious tweeter I put the idea out there on Twitter to see what people thought and straight away I had such positive r...

Oh dear blog...

Im so sorry for neglecting you! But i'm back now, with many more musings and goings ons :) Life since April has been eventful to say the least. I've had an interesting journey. I've learnt so much about myself and about life.. I think learning about ourselves and our emotions is such a massively important lesson in life and really, more people should take the time to do it. I don't believe for one second that I am now completely in control of my emotions but I do feel more equipt to deal with them and accept certain feelings and saying 'its okay' to feel that way and move on. I am trying to take better control of the practical things in my life these days.. my modelling is, as ever, hugely important to me.. but I have also, with a little help from those around me, found the creativity inside me once again and am finally getting on with my clothing label. I will dedicate a little post to my clothing soon and hopefully include some images too. What I sho...
